FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL
Kathy Selvidge Tonner ASID RID has a passion for creating inviting, functional and efficient environments and is the Founder and Principal of SUNDOG DESIGN STUDIO. A practicing Registered Interior Designer (RID) in GA and TN. NCIDQ Certified with 30 years experience in the Design & Construction Industry. She has been a Professional Member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) over 25 years.
Having achieved her Architectural Design degree from the University of Florida, Kathy initiated her Interior Architectural training in Cambridge, MA from Founding Principals of The Architects Collaborative (TAC) in Harvard Square; Walter Gropius' Bauhaus movement in America - known as the International Style. Kathy has worked among some of the best architects and designers in New York & Boston, and for the past 25 years in Metro-Atlanta, the North Georgia Mountains and Middle Tennessee.
Kathy's project experience includes Academic, Healthcare, Retail and Residential. In addition, she has been on staff in the Interior Design Department at The Art Institute of Atlanta (Ai), has taught Design workshops at the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center (ADAC) and most recently served as an Adjunct Professor in the Interior Architecture Department at The University of Tennessee Chattanooga (UTC).
